Senior Vice President of Sales
Location: United States (Remote with Travel)

Kinetica is working with a pioneering manufacturer of proteomics capital equipment, dedicated to advancing scientific research and healthcare through innovative technology. As a growing startup, our clients pride themselves on our dynamic work environment, cutting-edge products, and commitment to excellence. They are looking for a seasoned and strategic Senior Vice President of Sales to drive our sales initiatives and expand their market presence.
Position Summary:
The Senior Vice President of Sales will lead and manage the entire sales organization to achieve ambitious revenue targets and substantial market growth. This role demands a strategic visionary with a proven track record in sales leadership, specifically within the proteomics or genomics capital equipment sectors. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working in a startup environment and a deep understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives to achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets.
- Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring continuous professional development.
- Identify, target, and penetrate key markets and customer segments to drive new business opportunities and expand market share.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry partners to enhance business development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure cohesive execution of sales strategies and seamless customer experiences.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform and adapt sales strategies and product development.
- Oversee the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and attainment of sales goals.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and establish thought leadership.
- Manage and optimize sales budgets, resources, and expenditures to maximize efficiency and return on investment.
- Report directly to the CCO, providing insights and recommendations on sales strategies, market opportunities, and organizational development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Sales experience, in a senior leadership role within the proteomics or genomic capital equipment sectors.
- Demonstrated success in sales management and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- Extensive experience working in a startup environment, with the ability to adapt to rapid changes and drive growth in an emerging market.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
- In-depth understanding of the proteomics market, including key players, trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events and support the sales team.
