Senior Account Manager – Zurich

We are partnering with a leading life sciences company that specializes in innovative technologies for research and diagnostics. Our client provides cutting-edge solutions that support applications in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic sectors. They are seeking a Senior Account Manager to drive business growth in Zurich and surrounding areas.

About the Role
As a Senior Account Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and managing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned sales professional with a strong life sciences background who is passionate about contributing to the success of their clients and the growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and market share in Zurich and the surrounding region.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including senior researchers, laboratory managers, and procurement teams.
  • Identify and engage new customers, expanding the company's footprint in the region.
  • Provide expert advice and technical guidance on the company’s products and solutions.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals and post-sales support.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (technical support, marketing, product management) to ensure customer satisfaction and successful product implementation.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase visibility and promote brand awareness.
  • Regularly report on sales performance, customer insights, and market trends.

Who We’re Looking to Speak With

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology).
  • Proven sales experience in the life sciences or biotech sectors, with a track record of success in complex sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of scientific applications, particularly in the areas of research, diagnostics, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking and managing customer interactions.
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
