Position Overview:
We are recruiting a Senior Account Manager to cover the Los Angeles territory, responsible for driving sales of our client's Genomics product portfolio. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a deep understanding of Genomics technologies and a proven track record in the life sciences industry. You will engage with academic institutions, biotech companies, and research centers, acting as the face of the company while managing customer relationships and growing revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth within the assigned territory, focusing on Genomics tools and technologies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, including researchers, lab managers, and procurement professionals in academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the client base within the Academic, Research Institutions, Biotech and Biopharma market.
  • Provide technical sales expertise, demonstrating how our client’s genomics products can meet customer needs and improve their research outcomes.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring both customer satisfaction and company profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and product support, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor offerings, and customer challenges within the genomics space.
  • Record and track sales activities using CRM systems and provide regular reports on territory performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Sales experience in genomics or related life sciences products, with a strong understanding of next-generation sequencing (NGS) and other genomics technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with scientific and technical audiences.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented, able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory (up to 50%).
