Based: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX (USA)
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000
About Our Client: Kinetica are partnered with a privately owned Food & Beverage CMO based in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX on a QA Manager opening. We are in the search of an expert in Food Manufacturing and FSQA Management, ideally with Raw Protein / Meat Processing experience.
Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the BRC standard, Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures, Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points, FDA, Good Manufacturing Practices, all safety policies and procedures, and any other established policies and requirements necessary.

Educate all team members on fundamentals of Food Science.

Lead team of developers to create, manufacture, and launch new innovation projects.

Support current and help develop food safety, quality, and sanitation programs and ensure compliance for a gluten free production facility.

Ensure delivery of safe, quality products in a sustainable manner and with minimization of risk to the manufacturing facility and organization.

Review and anticipate potential and emerging food safety, quality and regulatory issues and develop strategies to effectively investigate and respond.

Facilitate the investigation and resolution of escalated plant issues including quality holds, priority consumer complaints, and FDA/USDA regulatory matters.

Provide risk management strategies in support of manufacturing facility innovation, commercialization and productivity projects.

Ensure food safety and quality individual and departmental capabilities including hiring and on- boarding, trainings, and other growth and development opportunities.

Effectively manage pest control programs.

Prepare and ensure adherence to the QA department annual operating budget.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in food science, or related field or equivalent experience.

5+ years of people and functional leadership responsibilities in Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Technical Services, R&D, and/or other food related experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong leadership and team building skills

Experience in HACCP, BRC, organic, kosher, FSMA Food Safety Plan
