Project Manager (inc. NPD) – SE London/Kent – Scientific Equipment
About the Company:
We are looking for a Project Manager with experience managing product development projects as well as others in areas such as system, procurement, marketing, operations, etc. It is also important that applicants have experience working in a manufacturing organisation where a complex mechanical or electromechanical product was being made. This role will report directly to the CFO and have links to all areas of an established and expanding business.
Responsibilities:
• Planning and execution of projects.
• Working within budget and time constraints.
• Cross-functional collaboration.
• Task management.
• Resource allocation.
• Risk management.
• Adhering to NPD Stage Gate process.
• Project tracking and management via a project management system.
• Ensure project documentation is complete on time and following the correct structure with revision control.
• Provide regular status project updates and presenting the project overview at Steering Committee meetings.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Monitor and resolve project issues.
• Implement and configure system tools.
• Optimise and refine Agile workflows.
• Promote the use of best practices.
• Review and improve processes and tools.
• Act as an advocate for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a Project Manager on product development projects for complex mechanical or electromechanical products.
• Experience managing projects across various departments such as IT, quality, procurement, marketing, operations, etc.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Project management certification/membership such as Prince 2, AMP or PMP.
• Experience using project management systems.
• Experience using project management tools such as Trello or Confluence.
• A broad knowledge of project management methodologies such as Scrum, Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience managing cross functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
