About our Client: Kinetica are partnered with a rapidly growing Food Contract Manufacturer based in Los Angeles, CA on a Payroll Supervisor opening. The Payroll Supervisor ensures accurate and compliant payroll processing while managing payroll records, tax obligations, and legal requirements. This role also oversees the payroll team and supports HR functions like employee terminations and performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process multi-state payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, tax obligations, and legal posting requirements.
• Handle wage garnishments, tax levies, and support orders.
• Reconcile payroll before transmission and validate reports.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
• Supervise and assign tasks to the payroll team.
• Assist with employee terminations, exit interviews, and disciplinary procedures.
• Participate in performance reviews.
• Prepare payroll reports for management review.
• Ensure workplace legal postings are up to date.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Human Resources or related field.
• 5+ years of payroll experience.
• Understanding of payroll laws (ACA, FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, ADA, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with ADPWFN & AsureSoftware Timekeeping preferred.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
• Works well with all levels of management in a fast-paced environment.
