IT Specialist (II) - Food Contract Manufacturing 

Based: Fort Worth, TX 

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000

About Our Client: Kinetica are partnered with a privately owned Food & Beverage Contract Manufacturer based in Fort Worth, TX on an IT Specialist (II) opening. The  IT Support Specialist (II) provides technical support to employees, ensuring smooth operation of company technology. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, customer service, and teamwork to maintain and improve IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist users with hardware, software, and network issues (desktops, laptops, phones, printers, etc.).
  • Provide first-line support via phone, email, web portal, or in-person.
  • Troubleshoot Office 365 and Apple devices.
  • Maintain digital surveillance systems and operational technology (labeling systems, barcode scanners, etc.).
  • Guide users through solutions and preventive measures.
  • Install, configure, update, and maintain software/hardware.
  • Manage user onboarding/offboarding.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Provide basic IT training to employees.
  • Collaborate on IT projects and improvements.
  • Travel occasionally for onsite support.
  • Participate in after-hours support (on rotation).

Qualifications & Experience 

  • HS Diploma or GED required; AA/AS or BA/BS preferred
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ preferred
  • 3+ years supporting 50+ users in a network environment
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Mac experience is a plus)
  • Strong troubleshooting for PC hardware, software, and networks
  • Basic knowledge of switching and routing equipment
  • Experience with ticketing systems and Help Desk support
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset
  • Works well independently and in a team
  • Quick learner, adaptable to new tools and software
