Field Service Engineer

As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering the Benelux and Nordics region.


Position Summary:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and customer satisfaction of our client’s proteomics imaging equipment. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of these sophisticated systems across West Germany & Belgium. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in proteomics or imaging technologies to contribute to cutting-edge research and make a tangible impact in the life sciences field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Calibration: Install, calibrate, and validate proteomics imaging equipment at customer sites, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet performance specifications.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Provide routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services to ensure the continuous operation of equipment.
  • Customer Training: Conduct training sessions for customers on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment, ensuring users are fully equipped to operate the systems effectively.
  • Technical Support: Offer remote and on-site technical support to diagnose and resolve issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as the key point of contact for all service-related inquiries.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed service records and reports, ensuring all activities are documented in compliance with company standards.
  • Travel: 80% Travel across West Germany & Belgium to support customers, with occasional travel to other European locations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced technical training or certifications in proteomics or imaging technologies are a plus.
  • Experience: Experience in a field service engineering role, preferably with experience in proteomics, imaging, or analytical instrumentation.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with a hands-on approach. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Germany, with occasional international travel.
