Field Application Scientist – South West Germany

We are partnering with an innovative life sciences company that specializes in cutting-edge technologies for scientific research and diagnostics. Our client provides advanced solutions that support various applications in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic sectors, and is seeking a Field Application Scientist to join their team in South West Germany.

About the Role
As a Field Application Scientist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, support, and training to customers in the South West Germany region. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in life sciences who is passionate about working directly with customers to ensure the successful implementation and usage of our client’s products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including product demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their research needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support business development efforts and drive customer success.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, offering guidance on the optimal use of the company's products.
  • Conduct in-person product training sessions, workshops, and technical seminars for customers.
  • Support product implementation, ensuring smooth integration into customer workflows.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the South West Germany region.
  • Act as the customer advocate, ensuring their feedback and needs are communicated to the internal team.
  • Document customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

Who We’re Looking to Speak With

  • Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
  • Experience in a customer-facing scientific or technical role, preferably within the life sciences or biotech sector.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific instruments, and product applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the South West Germany region as needed.
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking customer interactions.
