About Our Client:

Kinetica has partnered with a leading manufacturer of life science microscopy instruments dedicated to advancing biomarker discovery in translational research. This innovative company is at the cutting edge of microscopy technology, providing critical tools that drive breakthroughs in scientific research. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a highly skilled Director of Product Management to lead their product strategy and manage their talented team of product managers.

Position Overview:

As the Director of Product Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their life science microscopy instruments. You will be responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining a strategic product roadmap while leading a team of product managers. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep market knowledge and a proven track record in product management within the life science or microscopy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Formulate and execute a strategic product roadmap for life science microscopy instruments, ensuring it aligns with market trends, customer needs, and company objectives.
  • Product Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial concept through development, launch, and post-launch assessment.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with R&D, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to align product development with market demands and business goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive dynamics, translating these insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with key customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure that products meet their requirements.
  • Innovation: Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, driving enhancements to existing products and exploring new product development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Product management experience in the life science or microscopy instrument sector, including a successful track record of managing product roadmaps and leading product management teams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Engineering, Business). An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD) is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of life science microscopy instruments and their role in biomarker discovery and translational research.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with a focus on driving product success and innovation.
