Business Development Lead – UK, Nordics & Benelux

Company Overview: Our client is a pioneering life science company specializing in the development of advanced human biomimetic models to accelerate neurological drug discovery. By leveraging cutting-edge tissue engineering, neural interfacing, and AI technologies, they aim to transform neurological R&D and improve patient outcomes.

Position Summary: We are looking to speak with a dynamic and experienced Business Development Leads to spearhead growth initiatives across the UK, Nordics, and Benelux regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience, a proven track record in business development within the biotech or pharmaceutical sectors, and a passion for innovative drug discovery technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to enhance the company's presence and market share in the assigned regions.
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders in pharmaceutical, biotech, and contract research organizations (CROs) to promote the company's advanced neuroscience platforms.
  • Drive sales and foster long-term partnerships by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, industry events, and direct outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with internal scientific and technical teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and successful project execution.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage the sales process from initial contact to deal closure.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to inform and adjust business development strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
  • experience in business development or sales experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO industry.
  • Demonstrated success in promoting preclinical drug discovery services or advanced in vitro models.
  • Established network within pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, particularly in neuroscience and neurodegenerative research.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders effectively.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and adept at thriving in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK, Nordics, and Benelux regions as required (approximately 30-50% travel).
