Account Manager – Scotland

We are partnering with a global leader in life sciences technologies to hire an Account Manager for Scotland. Our client is at the forefront of providing innovative solutions for research, diagnostics, and drug discovery, supporting a wide range of applications across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic sectors.

About the Role
The Account Manager will play a key role in managing and expanding customer relationships in Scotland, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven individual with a strong sales background and a passion for life sciences technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to increase market share and meet revenue targets in Scotland.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, including researchers, lab managers, and procurement professionals.
  • Identify new business opportunities, focusing on pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, and academic markets.
  • Provide technical and application-based support to customers, ensuring the effective use of products and solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring accuracy in sales forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product management, technical support) to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand presence.
  • Maintain CRM records and provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.

Who We’re Looking to Speak With

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology).
  • Sales experience in the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proven track record in managing key accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of life sciences applications and technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
