Kinetica has a superb opportunity for a Technologist / Development Chemist to join the team of a well-established, global chemical company that serves a multitude of industries.

The primary function of this role is to deliver the project-based development of new products and processes. The appointed Technologist / Development Chemist will manage and evaluate product development ideas – from conception through to plant production – with specific emphasis and accountability for plant-based trials. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake the development of new products
  • Assessment and development of performance attributes of products
  • Involvement in all safety and environmental initiatives
  • Development of improved processes for the product production
  • Provision of technical support to the production facility
  • Implementation of new systems and techniques to evolve the business

The Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Chemistry or Material Science combined with relevant experience
  • Experience of developing and specialising in films / coatings
  • Practical laboratory experience, ideally gained in a chemical, film manufacturing or related process environment
  • Experience of acetate coatings or films
