Sales Manager – Capital Equipment - Excellent Salary Package

A superb opportunity for a seasoned sales professional has arisen within the team of a global provider of laboratory instrumentation and consumables.

The vacancy is for a Sales Manager, who will be responsible for selling the company’s high profile capital equipment portfolio across the UK & Ireland, with a view to achieve and exceed sales targets.

The Responsibilities

  • Direct sales of company products to key customers
  • Promote company products through sales calls, lead generation, on-site seminars, trade shows and user meetings
  • Provide forecast of instrument and consumable sales
  • Develop a strong technical understanding of products, applications and competitor technologies 
  • Provide technical presentations of company products at customer accounts 
  • Manage resources to provide optimal pre-sales information, product demonstration, technical pre and post-sales support
  • Ensure maximum customer satisfaction

The Requirements

  • High capital equipment expertise ideally HPLC, ELISA plate instrumentation, label free technology
  • Pharma market experience
  • Familiar in dealing with large academic centres
  • Biochemistry / Immunology background (Master Degree minimum)
  • Protein Science / Proteomic market knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Willing to travel
